Frequently asked questions
What is FoodPrints?
FoodPrints helps you discover restaurants and their special offers ("specials"), keep track of the places you love, and plan meals with friends. Using the app and redeeming specials is free.
How do specials work?
You browse specials from participating restaurants in the app and redeem them at the restaurant using the redemption function. The conditions, validity period and availability of each special are set by the restaurant and shown next to the special, so please read them before your visit.
A special did not work at the restaurant. What should I do?
Because the offer is provided by the restaurant, your claim is with them, so please raise it at the restaurant first. If it is not resolved, email us at support@foodprints.app and we will gladly pass your feedback on. Repeated issues can lead us to remove a restaurant from the platform.
How do I delete my account?
Open the app, go to your Profile, then Settings, and tap Delete Account. This schedules your account and personal data for deletion. Some records that we are legally required to keep, such as redemption logs, are retained for the periods described in our Privacy Policy.
How do I reset my password or change my details?
You can update your profile details in the app under Settings. If you are locked out or cannot sign in, email support@foodprints.app and we will help you regain access.
How is my data handled?
Your privacy matters to us. We explain exactly what we collect and why in our Privacy Policy. In short: your contacts never leave your phone as raw data, payment details are handled by Stripe, and we do not use tracking for advertising.
I run a restaurant, or I am an influencer. How do I join?
Restaurants can learn more on our partners page, and creators can find details on our foodies page. You are also welcome to email support@foodprints.app.
Where can I read the terms and privacy policy?
Our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy are always available. The legally binding German versions are linked at the top of each page.
